A Few Days Off

Today was the last day where I was sitting and working hard on my Crafty Pegs; and boy, did I feel like giving in!  I spent my morning sitting by my back door hoping to have a lovely quiet morning.  But my back neighbour - who was Turkish - was screaming at her baby, who was also screaming.  Then, her friend was screaming over the top of the baby... and if that didn't drive me nuts enough, they had the pressure cooker on and it went off and then they all screamed!  What a pain the butt!

By 1:30pm, I had finished up all the pegs I was ever going to do and got my behind outside with the varnish, the clothes horse and the pegs and spent around half and hour varnishing them.  Because I didn't have the car and it was so humid today, both layers of varnish dried quickly and - before I knew it - I was back inside to wrap up the sets of pegs.
I sorted them out into sets, made up the paper holders, clipped them all together, and then worked out how much cellophane I'd need to wrap them up.  It took me around 1 1/2 hours to get it all together and worked out.  And by around 3pm, it was done!  I stood up, stretched and woohooed a little before I put the lid on the stock box, put it away, and then ... then, I cleaned up the craft area.  I threw away excess paper, put away anything I've been ignoring and found a box for my sandpaper, bubblewrap and other items and organised it properly.

Tonight, I wrote out my shopping list, did some washing up and put out the rubbish bin and organised what I was taking shopping tomorrow.  And the car has been returned to me for the trip tomorrow too.  I'll have a whole afternoon to myself tomorrow... well, jeez, I won't be painting pegs for once, so I'll be out the back yard reading a book I think... yeah, that'd be nice to get back into again, I think.

So, how has your week started out so far?  Busy like mine?  Or has it been go, go, go?  Until my next post, take care, keep safe and warm and remember, I'm always here.

  1. Good luck with the sales at the Creative Markets on the weekend. I probably won't be able to attend as I will be elsewhere at the time. Maybe next year when the school has another market on I will try to come along to see what is around.

    1. Sounds good... I've applied for another stall in February so to give myself more time to work on more lots of work... I've had a few ideas to do little gift-packs in baskets and little back-to-school packs too. :D

    3. I'll still get some packs going in February for home-school kids and kids in general... and the markets are on too late for Valentine's Day - at the end of the month - so I'll aim for around Easter if anything else. :D
